ADVERTISING & SPONSORED CONTENT.
Effective September 5, 2026.
Clear labels before readers click
Paid placements are identified with a direct label such as “Advertisement,” “Paid Advertisement,” or “Sponsored.” The label appears with the promotional item and is not hidden inside a general disclosure page. A sponsored feature is advertising, not independent news coverage.
Editorial independence
Payment never purchases favorable news coverage, a fact-check conclusion, an endorsement, the removal of accurate reporting, or advance approval of newsroom decisions. Advertisers may review their paid material for factual details about their own business, but they do not direct independent reporting or corrections.
What may be sponsored
Available formats may include responsive website placements, sponsored business features, newsletter messages, giveaways, event promotion, and clearly disclosed social promotion. Placement, dates, deliverables, revisions, and availability are confirmed in writing before payment.
What is not accepted
The publication may reject or remove advertising that is deceptive, unlawful, unsafe, discriminatory, defamatory, unsupported, or inconsistent with applicable platform rules. Political advertising is not accepted. Extra review may be required for health, legal, financial, age-restricted, or other sensitive claims.
Claims, images, and rights
Advertisers are responsible for supplying accurate claims and confirming that they have permission to use submitted names, logos, photographs, music, video, testimonials, and other material. The publication may request documentation, edits, or removal of a claim that cannot be supported.
Campaign reporting and privacy
When available, campaign-specific information such as placement dates, link clicks, impressions, or newsletter activity may be provided privately to that advertiser. Sitewide audience analytics are not published as part of the public advertising page. Reader information is not sold to sponsors. Details about advertising-related cookies, vendors, and reader controls appear in the Privacy Policy.
Payment, changes, and cancellation
A campaign begins only after both sides confirm the scope and payment arrangements. Any cancellation, refund, rescheduling, or replacement terms are documented before purchase. Buying advertising does not create an ongoing right to newsroom access or future coverage.
Job listings and event promotion
Paid job listings and event promotions are labeled where they appear. Payment buys only the agreed placement and does not guarantee applicants, hires, attendance, ticket sales, an endorsement, or independent coverage. Employers and organizers remain responsible for the accuracy and legality of their claims, links, and submitted materials.
Questions or concerns
Advertising inquiries may be submitted through the Advertise With Us page. Concerns about a paid label, claim, or placement may be sent to contact@whatsthescoopwithbroach.com.
