The programme is larger than one selection

Film Fest Gent runs October 7 through 18. Its official programme divides the festival into the main selection, shorts, classics, children and family programming, artists on film, music-focused work and other strands. A roundup that names only a few gala titles misses how most visitors actually build a day.

The official schedule can be viewed by date. That is the safest place to detect overlapping screenings and changes before paying.

Ticket products solve different problems

The festival publishes separate information for single tickets and multiple-ticket packs. A pack can lower the effective price for a visitor who will use all of it, but it does not create seats in a screening that has reached capacity. Buyers should select a draft schedule first, then choose the product that fits the number of available sessions.

Venue travel time also belongs in the calculation. Ghent's programme uses several cinemas and cultural spaces; two screenings that do not overlap on paper can still be impractical when entry and transit time are added.

Practical pages are part of the programme

Film Fest Gent maintains a practical-information page for accessibility and programme changes. Visitors who need step-free access, seating accommodation or caption and language information should verify the specific venue and screening rather than assume every presentation is identical.

The official site also lists Film Music Days for October 8–10 and a broader programme through October 18. The useful plan is a dated itinerary with a backup screening—not a claim that one pass guarantees entry everywhere.
