Three Thursdays anchor the month
The Library of Congress says Colombian jazz harpist Edmar Castañeda opens the November series on the 5th. Geographic-information activities follow on November 12, and Sistastrings closes the announced sequence November 19 using the Library's Stradivari instruments.
The institution lists extended Thursday hours from 5 to 8 p.m. in the Thomas Jefferson Building. Individual program times and reservation requirements should be checked on the event page.
The instruments make the final program unusual
Historic instruments can turn a concert into a preservation event as well as a performance. The Library says the Sistastrings program includes a world premiere commissioned through the McKim Fund.
An announced program is not a recording release or guarantee that every seat remains available. The official calendar is the source for access changes.
What remote readers can use
The Library maintains event pages and collection material online, but the release does not promise a livestream or permanent recording for every program. Remote availability should be verified event by event.
This guide is based on the Library's October 23 announcement and calendar. It is cultural-service reporting, not an endorsement or paid promotion.
