Police say a 911 hang-up led officers to the wounded man

Delano officers were dispatched at approximately 12:40 p.m. Sunday to a home in the 1000 block of 22nd Avenue after a 911 hang-up call, according to the department account reported by BakersfieldNow.

Officers found a 45-year-old man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported by air to a hospital. The reviewed report does not identify him, disclose the number or location of his wounds or provide a more detailed medical prognosis beyond police describing him as stable.
