A new bridge between TikTok and Disney+
Disney and TikTok are preparing to bring selected fan-created videos into the Disney+ streaming service through a new content-sharing partnership.
The program will begin with a United States pilot before expanding to additional markets. Participating creators must opt in, and their videos will remain available on TikTok while also appearing within Disney+.
Creators will receive access to approved materials connected to hundreds of Disney films and television programs, including properties associated with Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars and FX.
Creators could receive visibility and career opportunities
The companies are also creating a Disney Creator Ambassador Program. TikTok says participating creators could receive rewards, additional visibility, invitations to exclusive events and career-development opportunities.
The agreement recognizes that fan-created videos are now a central part of how audiences discover movies, shows and performers.
TikTok says users published an average of 6.5 million film- and television-related posts per day during 2025. That is a company-provided figure rather than an independent audience measurement.

Creators should examine ownership and compensation
Access to Disney’s franchises could produce enormous exposure. It also raises questions involving ownership, licensing and compensation.
Creators should determine whether Disney can reuse their work in advertising, how long permissions remain in effect and whether they receive payment beyond visibility or rewards.
Exposure can help a growing channel, but it is not always a fair substitute for compensation, especially when a multibillion-dollar corporation is using creator work to increase engagement on a paid streaming service.
