URGENT: Bakersfield Police Search for At-Risk Woman Missing Since July

Police request immediate public assistance

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The Bakersfield Police Department is asking the public to help locate Jessica Esochaghi Enekwogu, a 45-year-old woman who has been missing since July 22, 2026.

Police said Enekwogu was last seen in the 600 block of Truxtun Avenue in Bakersfield. The public alert issued Thursday says she is considered at risk because of a medical condition.

Authorities have not publicly described the medical condition or announced evidence that Enekwogu was abducted or became the victim of a crime. The at-risk designation means information about her whereabouts should be reported promptly rather than investigated independently by members of the public.

Enekwogu is described as 6 feet tall and approximately 275 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.

She was last seen wearing a brown floral dress. Police also said she had a white T-shirt wrapped around her hair.
